Privacy Policy
How Atelier Sesvenna collects and uses personal data when you visit this website, write to us or apply to join the studio.
Updated:
1. Who is responsible
Atelier Sesvenna AG, Quaderstrasse 18, 7000 Chur, Switzerland, is responsible for processing your personal data on this website. For anything related to data protection, write to privacy@sesvenna.ch.
Our studio in Milano (Via Tortona 27, 20144 Milano, Italy) works under the same policy. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we follow it alongside the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
2. What we collect
We collect as little as we can.
When you visit the site: your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, the time of your visit and the site that referred you. The server records these automatically to keep the site secure and working.
When you contact us: your name, email address, company if you give one, and your message.
When you apply for a position: your CV, portfolio, cover letter and any other documents you choose to send.
When you subscribe to the Journal: your email address.
We do not collect sensitive data on purpose. Please don’t include it in messages or applications.
3. Why we use it
To answer your enquiry and discuss a possible project
To assess your application and contact you about it
To send the Journal, if you asked for it
To keep the website secure and understand how it is used, in aggregate
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the studio and the website, steps you ask us to take before a contract, or your consent (for the newsletter). You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the studio, and only as far as each one needs:
Website hosting: Framer B.V., Amsterdam, Netherlands
Email and file storage: our email and cloud provider
Newsletter delivery: our mailing provider, only if you subscribe
Some providers may process data outside Switzerland or the EU. When they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
5. Cookies and analytics
The site uses only the cookies it needs to work. Visitor statistics are collected without cookies and without identifying you. If we ever add tracking that needs your consent, we will ask first.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries: up to two years after our last exchange, unless they lead to a project
Unsuccessful applications: six months, unless you agree to a longer period
Newsletter: until you unsubscribe
Server logs: up to 30 days
Project records are kept for as long as Swiss and Italian law requires.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
show you the data we hold about you
correct it
delete it
restrict how we use it
give it to you in a portable format
You can also object to how we use it. To do any of this, email privacy@sesvenna.ch. You may also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in Italy, to the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
8. Changes
We may update this policy when the website or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
